Roselovers Monthly Meeting Venue.
EvertonPark Library is the location where Roselovers meet for the monthly meetings and Friendship days. Physical Address is 67 Dawson Parade, Keperra, (Grovely Parish) Qld 4053. The meeting room is the community hall beside the main church auditorium.
With an investment of $11.6 million from Brisbane City Council, this new library is being constructed to meet the needs of the local community.
35,000 people visit Everton Park Library each year and it is envisioned that super sizing from 454m² to 1000m² means the new library will offer more spaces for people to read, gather and learn. The upgrade includes more meeting rooms, a computer lounge, a children’s space, dedicated quiet room and terrace spaces that connect visitors with leafy, green Fallon Park.:
Access
By Car:
Travel along to from Wardell St to Stafford Road and turn dow Sizer st to Fallon Street. Plenty of parking is available on Saturday afternoon at no cost. Parking is available under the Library. Alternatively park in Fallon Street.
By Bus and foot:
Room Size
The room has the capacity for about 50 seated patrons as a presentation room. The attendance at Roselovers meeting is around 20 to 30 members so the hall is half filled (with less than 40 seats maximum).The other half of the room is available for demonstrations and afternoon teas so the chairs remain in place for the whole meeting. There is a reasonably sized kitchen area including a sink that can be used during the presentations. Roselovers store raffle prizes and regalia in the locked cupboard near the entrance. We use sponsors products as raffle prizes.
Projector and Computer Facilities
There is a complete sound system with a windows computer that will take a USB PowerPoint presentation. The Audio system has two microphones and is integrated with the Computer facilities. There is a CD that can be connected to the Computer using a USB connection. Appropriate IT staff are available from the library. .
