Origins

The Roselovers Association Inc. was formed on Saturday the second day of February of 2002 as a garden club.  The club is an incorporated entity and registered as a non-profit organisation with an ABN number. Len Johnson and Barbara Beerling started the club as part of Perrott's Enoggera Nursery.  The club was formed as an alternative to Queensland Rose Society to provide that extra venue for the gardener who wants roses in their garden but does not desire to join a more purist rose enthusiast's society only interested in showing roses.  There was a split between Queensland Rose Society and Roselovers has been resolved over the last ten years and Roselovers is now an affiliated member of the Queensland Rose Society. The club is now in the second decade and have built a strong reputation within the home gardening community.   When Perrott’s Nursery closed down the club moved to St Michael’s church on Banks street at Dorrington.

Later on Roselovers moved to St Williams Catholic Church at 67 Dawson Parade, Grovely, Qld 4054
