Modern Shrub Roses
Shrub roses are a vast, hard-to-define class of plants, mostly "leftover" roses that don't fit into other classes. Many are improved versions of species roses, which are roses that evolved naturally in the wild. Others result from crossing species roses with small bush roses. Instead of the simple species rose flower, Shrub roses have double flowers or else bloom repeatedly. Shrub roses grow to about one metre high and have a round shape.
